Introduce
In Where in Time Is Carmen Sandiego, you play as an ACME detective tasked with apprehending members of Carmen Sandiego's V.I.L.E. organization, who have stolen valuable historical artifacts and caused chaos across the timeline. Each case begins with a report of a theft, after which you must travel to various historical locations and time periods, from Ancient Egypt to the American Revolution.
At each location, you will gather clues by interrogating witnesses, examining the scene, and researching documents. These clues often contain information about the thief or their next escape destination. You must analyze these clues to determine the thief's next whereabouts. As you gather enough information about the suspect (gender, hobbies, physical characteristics), you will use your Valise database to cross-reference with V.I.L.E. member dossiers to identify the correct culprit.
Once the suspect is identified, you need to issue an arrest warrant before you run out of time or fuel for your time machine. The ultimate goal is to intercept the thief and apprehend them. The game combines adventure and puzzle elements with historical facts, allowing players to both enjoy and learn about significant events and figures in world history.
