Marvelous has announced Eternal Anima (previously known by the working title Project Life is RPG), a new role-playing game developed by industry veterans such as director Katsuhisa Higuchi, concept story writer Keisuke Makino, and scenario writer Kazushige Nojima. The game will launch for Sony PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam on March 4, 2027.
In North America, the PlayStation 5 and Switch 2 versions will be available in both physical and digital formats. The PlayStation 5 version will be priced at $49.99, while the Switch 2 version (containing the complete game on a cartridge) will be $59.99. A Limited Edition will also be released for $79.99 and $89.99 respectively, including a game disc/cartridge, a 2-disc CD soundtrack, 9 character art cards with display stands, and an art book.

Eternal Anima, originally teased under the working title "Project Life is RPG" in 2023, evokes the spirit of late-90s and early-2000s JRPGs while delivering an ambitious time-travel narrative, modern visuals, and tactical twists on traditional turn-based combat.
