Introduce

In Rainbow Islands - The Story of Bubble Bobble 2, players control either Bub or Bob, the green and pink dragons from Bubble Bobble, now in their human forms. Your primary objective is to ascend to the top of each island before the rising water from below overtakes you.

The gameplay revolves around your unique ability to shoot rainbows. These rainbows serve not only as weapons to defeat enemies but can also be used as temporary platforms, allowing players to climb or reach higher areas. When an enemy is hit by a rainbow, they become trapped, and the player can run over them to collect the dropped items.

Each island is composed of multiple vertical screens, requiring players to move quickly. Various power-ups can be collected, such as speed shoes, stronger rainbows, or special items that help players progress more easily. At the end of each island, players will face a challenging boss battle, requiring proper strategy to overcome.
