Introduce

In Family Trainer 9 - Fuuun Takeshi-jou 2, players embody a contestant participating in the challenging and hilarious trials of Takeshi's Castle, a renowned Japanese television show. The unique aspect of this game is its reliance on the Family Trainer peripheral (commonly known as the Power Pad in the West), a pressure-sensitive mat with 12 numbered panels.

Gameplay demands that players use their physical movements to control the on-screen character. For instance, to make the character run, players must continuously step on the numbered panels of the mat as if jogging in place. To jump or dodge, players will need to perform corresponding actions on the mat. Each stage presents a distinct challenge, mimicking classic Takeshi's Castle games such as "Bridge Ball" (crossing a bridge while dodging balls), "Honeycomb Maze," "Skipping Stones," or "Slippery Wall."

The game's objective is to conquer all the challenges to advance into Takeshi's Castle and confront General Omori. The game emphasizes agility, reflexes, and hand-eye coordination. Despite being an NES title, Family Trainer 9 - Fuuun Takeshi-jou 2 offers a unique physical activity experience, transforming gameplay into a fun workout session. The graphics and sound are simple yet effective in recreating the vibrant atmosphere of the original TV show.
