Introduce

The Family Feud (USA) game on the NES faithfully recreates the atmosphere of the popular television game show of the same name. Players engage in an engaging battle of wits where the objective is to guess the most popular answers to survey questions posed to 100 people.

The game typically begins with the "Face-Off" round, where two representatives from each family compete to gain control of the board. A survey question is revealed, and the player who buzzes in first and gives the highest-ranked answer wins control. If their answer is not on the board, the other player gets a chance to answer.

Once control is gained, that family attempts to guess all the hidden answers on the board. Each correct answer is revealed, and points are added to the family's score. If the family gives three incorrect answers (known as "strikes"), control of the board passes to the opposing family. The opposing family then has one opportunity to give a single answer. If that answer is among the unrevealed answers, they "steal" all the points accumulated by the other family in that round. If they are wrong, the original family keeps the points.

Rounds continue until all answers are found or both families have used their turns. Scores from each round are tallied. The game usually consists of several rounds, and the family with the highest total score after all rounds wins the main game.

The winning family then proceeds to the "Fast Money" round. In this round, two family members take turns answering five different survey questions within a time limit. The goal is to reach a combined total of 200 points from both players. The first player answers five questions, and their score is recorded. The second player then answers the same five questions (but cannot duplicate the first player's answers) and tries to earn enough remaining points to reach 200. If they succeed, the family wins a big prize.

Family Feud (USA) offers a puzzle-solving experience based on general knowledge and the ability to guess crowd psychology, making it perfect for those who enjoy trivia games and TV game shows.
