Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves announced for Switch 2

Publisher The Pokémon Company and developer Game Freak have announced Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves for Nintendo Switch 2. Both titles will launch worldwide in 2027.

This new generation of Pokémon will introduce new starters including Browt (Grass-type), Pombon (Fire-type), and Gecqua (Water-type), along with special Pikachu variants: Mr. Windychu and Ms. Wavychu.

Developed by Game Freak Inc., Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves are the newest additions to the Pokémon RPG series, coming in 2027 to the Nintendo Switch 2 system.
These new titles feature a vast open world to explore, with beautiful windy islands and a vast ocean with sparkling waves. Players will take on the role of the adventure's main character, with their outfit differing depending on which version you’re playing. Players will then choose their first partner—Browt, Pombon, or Gecqua—before heading out on their journey.

New Language Support
Starting with Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves, Brazilian Portuguese will be officially supported as an optional language. By expanding the supported languages, we aim to make Pokémon even more accessible to players worldwide, further our brand's goal of connecting the world through Pokémon.
