Introduce

Battle Fleet (Japan) on the NES is a naval strategy game based on the classic board game. The main objective of the game is to locate and destroy the opponent's entire fleet of warships before they do the same to your fleet.

Initially, each player secretly deploys their ships onto a grid. Ships come in various sizes, from large aircraft carriers to small submarines, each occupying a certain number of squares on the grid. Wise ship placement is crucial; you need to consider positions that both protect your ships and create "decoy" areas to mislead your opponent.

Once the match begins, players take turns "firing" at squares on the opponent's grid. After each shot, the system will announce the result: "miss" if no ship was hit, or "hit" if a part of a ship was struck. If all squares of a ship are hit, that ship is "sunk." Players need to use logic and deductive reasoning to analyze hits, thereby inferring the shape and position of enemy ships to concentrate their firepower.

The gameplay of Battle Fleet requires patience, strategic thinking, and a bit of luck. It's a simple yet addictive game that provides a tense and exciting strategic challenge for players.
