Introduce

In the classic game Adventure Island (USA) on the NES console, players take on the role of the protagonist, Master Higgins, a skateboarding and adventure enthusiast. His main mission is to rescue the beautiful Princess Tina from the evil witch Kohakama.

The gameplay of Adventure Island is a side-scrolling platformer. Master Higgins must constantly run forward through various levels, from dense jungles and caves to rivers and icy areas. A distinctive feature of the game is Master Higgins' energy bar (hunger bar), which continuously depletes. To maintain energy and avoid starving, players must collect various fruits scattered along the path. Each type of fruit replenishes a certain amount of energy.

Master Higgins can jump to overcome obstacles and defeat enemies. His primary weapon is the stone axe, which can be thrown to attack monsters. Additionally, players can find eggs containing many useful items. Some eggs will provide stone axes, while others may contain a skateboard, which increases movement speed and provides a shield from one hit. Another special item is the fairy, which grants Master Higgins temporary invincibility. However, there are also eggs that contain disadvantages, such as a witch that makes the player lose their weapon, or poisonous mushrooms that decrease energy.

The game is divided into 8 areas, each consisting of 4 stages, totaling 32 challenging levels. At the end of each area, players must face a boss to proceed to the next area. Adventure Island is known for its high difficulty, requiring players to have quick reflexes, precise jump timing, and memory of the terrain to overcome traps and enemies.

Its vibrant graphics, catchy music, and addictive gameplay have made Adventure Island become one of the beloved classic titles on the NES.
