Introduce

Worms (GB) is a humorous and unique turn-based strategy game developed for the Game Boy system, also playable on Game Boy Color. In this game, players control a team of small, quirky worms, each with its own personality and voice, with the sole objective of eliminating the opposing worm team. The game takes place on fully destructible 2D maps, offering endless tactical variety.

Each match begins with two teams of worms randomly placed on a terrain. Players take turns controlling one of their worms. Each turn has a time limit, forcing players to make quick and efficient decisions. During their turn, a worm can move a short distance or use one of the myriad weapons and tools available in their inventory. The arsenal of Worms (GB) is one of its most defining features, ranging from basic weapons like the Bazooka and Grenade to more bizarre and powerful items such as Dynamite, Sheep (exploding sheep), Holy Hand Grenade, or even movement tools like the Rope and Jetpack.

The terrain in Worms (GB) is not just a backdrop but a crucial part of the strategy. Every explosion leaves its mark on the map, creating craters, tunnels, or destroying bridges. This opens up numerous tactical possibilities: you can dig paths to reach opponents, create obstacles, or knock opponents into the water (where they are eliminated from the game). Calculating projectile trajectories, wind strength, and terrain slope are key factors for executing perfect shots.

Despite being a handheld Game Boy version with simpler graphics compared to its console or PC counterparts, Worms (GB) retains the series' characteristic humor and addictive gameplay. The funny sound effects and voices of the worms contribute to the joyful atmosphere. The ultimate goal is to be the last team standing on the map. The game provides hours of challenging and hilarious entertainment, suitable for those who enjoy turn-based strategy with elements of destruction and spontaneity.
