Wetrix GB (Europe) (GBC)

Wetrix GB is a unique and challenging puzzle game that brings water management to a 3D playing field. Your primary goal is to prevent water from overflowing the screen by building dikes and then evaporating that water to score points.

The game takes place on a square arena where various pieces fall from above, similar to Tetris but in a three-dimensional space. The types of pieces include:

• Dikes: These blocks are used to build walls, forming areas to contain water. You need to strategically place them to create enclosed "lakes."
• Bombs: When placed, bombs create an explosion that evaporates a large amount of water in the area. However, they can also create holes or destroy your dikes.
• Holes: These pieces create openings on the ground, allowing water to drain out and evaporate. Using holes correctly is key to efficient water management.
• Up-arrows: These pieces raise the terrain, helping you build higher dikes or deeper water containment areas.

Water will continuously pour onto the playfield from above. Your task is to evaporate as much water as possible before it overflows the edges of the screen. If water overflows, you will lose points or lives. Points are awarded based on the amount of water evaporated, the number of combos you create by evaporating multiple water bodies simultaneously, and the overall efficiency of your playfield management.

Wetrix GB demands strategic thinking, quick reflexes, and good 3D spatial management skills from the player. Each level progressively increases in difficulty, with more water and faster falling pieces, providing an addictive and challenging puzzle experience.
