WCW - The Main Event (GB)

In WCW - The Main Event, players step into the world of professional wrestling within the WCW universe, right on their Game Boy. This title features a roster of popular WCW superstars from that era, including legendary names such as Goldberg, Sting, Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and many more. Each wrestler possesses unique stats and signature moves, offering variety in gameplay.

The gameplay of WCW - The Main Event focuses on one-on-one combat within the wrestling ring. Players control their chosen wrestler using simple button presses to execute basic attacks like punches, kicks, grapples, and each wrestler's unique special moves (finishers). The primary objective is to wear down the opponent and deliver a finishing blow to secure victory via pinfall or submission. Despite the somewhat limited 2D graphics due to the Game Boy platform, the game still attempts to capture the vibrant atmosphere of wrestling matches.

The game offers main play modes such as Exhibition, which allows players to select any wrestler and face off against the AI or a friend via a link cable. The Tournament mode challenges players to overcome a series of opponents to win the prestigious WCW Championship belt, providing a sense of accomplishment and challenge. Strategic timing in executing attacks, dodging, and utilizing special moves is key to winning each match.
