Introduce

Tetris Plus for Game Boy Color offers two primary game modes. The Standard Tetris mode provides the classic block-dropping experience you know and love. Different-shaped blocks (tetrominoes) fall from the top of the screen. The player's objective is to rotate and move them to form complete horizontal lines. When a line is filled, it disappears, earning you points and creating space for subsequent blocks. The game ends when blocks stack up to the top of the screen.

The unique aspect of Tetris Plus lies in its Puzzle Mode (also known as Block-Out Mode). In this mode, the goal isn't just to clear lines. A small professor character starts at the top of the screen, and you need to clear a path for him to reach the bottom. Existing blocks on the screen form obstacles. You must strategically place new blocks to clear lines, creating a clear pathway for the professor. This mode demands strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, setting it apart from traditional Tetris gameplay. Each stage in Puzzle Mode features a unique layout and increasing difficulty. Players must complete the objective within a limited number of blocks or a time limit to advance. The simple, accessible interface combined with high challenge makes Tetris Plus an engaging puzzle game for Nintendo's handheld system.
