Introduce
Puzzled (Europe) is a classic puzzle game for the Game Boy Color system, offering a familiar yet engaging block-stacking experience. The game features gameplay similar to other well-known block-dropping games, where players must arrange various shaped blocks, known as Tetrominoes, as they fall from the top of the screen.
The primary objective for players in Puzzled (Europe) is to rotate and move the falling blocks to form complete horizontal lines. When a horizontal line is filled without any gaps, that line disappears, earning the player points and creating more space for subsequent blocks. The main challenge is to prevent the screen from filling up completely, because once the blocks stack up to the top of the screen, the game ends.
Players can control the blocks using basic button presses: move left or right, rotate the block clockwise or counter-clockwise, and soft-drop or hard-drop the block to the bottom quickly. As the game progresses, the falling speed of the blocks increases with each level, requiring players to have quick reflexes and strategic thinking to make precise decisions in a short amount of time.
Puzzled (Europe) often includes various game modes, such as an Endless mode (play until you lose), or a Time Attack mode (try to achieve the highest score within a limited time). The graphics are simple yet clear, accompanied by catchy background music, creating a light yet challenging entertainment experience on Nintendo's handheld console.
