Introduce

In Pokemon Pinball, players experience a unique blend of classic pinball gameplay and the beloved Pokemon universe. The primary objective is to catch all 150 original Pokemon from the Kanto region (or 151 including Mew) by utilizing their pinball skills. The game features two main tables: the Red Field and the Blue Field, each with distinct Pokemon to catch and unique layouts.

To catch a Pokemon, players need to hit the ball into specific areas on the table to make the target Pokemon appear. Once visible, you must hit the ball into that Pokemon multiple times before time runs out or the ball is lost. Successfully catching a Pokemon adds it to your Pokedex. Furthermore, the game incorporates a Pokemon evolution mechanic. By activating evolution zones and performing certain shots, you can evolve previously caught Pokemon, aiding in Pokedex completion and earning more points.

Beyond catching and evolving Pokemon, Pokemon Pinball also features various Bonus Stages and Bonus Rounds. Bonus Stages often involve mini-games like catching multiple Pokemon within a time limit or achieving high scores. Bonus Rounds entail battling gym leaders or powerful Pokemon by hitting them with the ball until their health bar depletes. The game also supported the Rumble Pak feature on the Game Boy Color, providing a more immersive experience. With diverse flippers, bumpers, and ramps, each table offers different challenges and scoring opportunities, creating an engaging and distinctly Pokemon-flavored pinball experience.
