Introduce
In Pocket Monsters Midori, players embark on an expansive journey through the Kanto region as a young Pokémon trainer. The primary goal is to become the Pokémon Champion by collecting, training, and battling with various Pokémon. The game begins when you receive your first Pokémon from Professor Oak, after which you commence your adventure, exploring towns, routes, caves, and forests in search of new Pokémon species.
The combat system in Pocket Monsters Midori is turn-based, where each Pokémon possesses unique moves and types (such as Fire, Water, Grass, Electric...). The effectiveness of moves depends on the opponent Pokémon's type, creating a deep strategic element. Upon winning battles, your Pokémon gain experience points (XP), level up, and learn new moves. Some Pokémon can also evolve into stronger forms upon reaching a certain level or through special methods.
Beyond collecting Pokémon, players must also challenge Gym Leaders across Kanto to earn Gym Badges. After collecting all 8 badges, you will be eligible to challenge the Elite Four and ultimately the Pokémon Champion. Throughout your journey, you will also encounter and thwart the schemes of Team Rocket, a criminal organization that exploits Pokémon for nefarious purposes. Pocket Monsters Midori also introduces the Pokedex, an electronic device that records information about all Pokémon you have encountered or caught, encouraging players to complete their collection. This game laid the foundation for the legendary Pokémon series, offering a classic adventure and strategic experience.
