Introduce
In Pocket Monsters Geum (Korea), players embark on an adventure in the Johto region as a young Pokémon trainer. The main goal is to become the Pokémon Champion by collecting badges from Gym Leaders and then challenging the Pokémon League.
Core gameplay revolves around exploring the vast world, encountering wild Pokémon to catch and add to your team. Players use Poké Balls to capture Pokémon after weakening them in battle. Battles are turn-based, where your Pokémon use various moves with different types and effects. Leveling up makes Pokémon stronger, learn new moves, and sometimes evolve into more powerful forms.
Beyond battles, Pocket Monsters Geum (Korea) introduces many new features. The day-and-night system affects Pokémon appearances and in-game events. The breeding feature allows players to breed Pokémon to obtain new individuals with special stats or moves. The game also expands the Pokémon roster with 100 new Generation II species, bringing the total to 251. After completing the main storyline in Johto, players can also travel to the Kanto region from the original games and face new challenges, including a final battle with the legendary character Red.
