Pinball Dreams (GB/GBC) is a classic pinball simulation game where players experience the authentic feel of controlling a silver ball on intricate pinball tables. The main objective in Pinball Dreams is to achieve the highest possible score by keeping the ball in play and activating targets, lights, and special modes on each table.

The game offers four unique tables, each with its distinct theme and layout:

• Steel Wheel: A railway-themed table featuring tracks, trains, and heavy industry-related targets. Players need to guide the ball through loops and hit train cars to score points.
• Beat Box: A music-themed table adorned with musical notes, speakers, and drum kits. The goal is to create rhythms and trigger sound effects to boost the score.
• Ignition: A space and rocket-themed table, complete with planets, spaceships, and gravity zones. Players launch the ball into space and explore celestial bodies to accumulate points.

Players use buttons (typically A and B or the D-pad) to control the two flippers at the bottom of the table, propelling the ball upwards and directing it towards targets. Additionally, the game allows players to "nudge" the pinball table to adjust the ball's trajectory, but caution is advised as over-nudging can lead to a "tilt" and loss of turn.
