Unlike blowing bubbles or creating rainbows to attack, this time Bubby and Bobby utilize their versatile parasol. This parasol is not just for shielding from falling objects; it's also the primary weapon for attacking enemies. When the parasol is open, players can catch falling drops of water, fire, or other objects, and then launch them back at enemies. Each type of drop or object, when caught and launched, will produce a different effect, such as water drops forming small rainbows to defeat foes or collect items.

Additionally, the parasol can be used to glide over gaps, jump higher, or even push enemies. Players need to skillfully combine these abilities to overcome obstacles, solve minor puzzles, and defeat a diverse array of enemies. Each stage in Parasol Stars typically has a vertical structure, requiring players to ascend to the top of the screen. Once all enemies in a stage are defeated, a special item will appear, allowing the player to proceed to the next level.

The game features a total of 8 worlds, each consisting of multiple smaller stages and culminating in a challenging boss battle.
