Painter Momopie is a unique puzzle game for the Game Boy Color system, offering a challenging color-by-number experience. This game is essentially a variation of the Nonogram or Picross genre, but with an interesting twist: you don't just fill in black and white, but also with various different colors.

Each stage in Painter Momopie displays an empty pixel grid. Around the grid, you'll find numbers at the end of each row and column. These numbers are crucial clues, telling you how many consecutive blocks of a specific color need to be filled in that row or column. For example, if you see "3B 2R", it means there's a sequence of 3 blue blocks and a sequence of 2 red blocks in that row or column, with possible gaps between them.

Players must use logical thinking and deductive reasoning to precisely determine the position of each colored block. You'll start with the rows or columns that have the clearest information, then gradually deduce the remaining cells. The game provides a color palette for you to select the appropriate color and a tool to mark cells that have been determined or ruled out. The ultimate goal is to complete the entire pixel art, transforming an empty grid into a vibrant and lively image. Once completed, the image will be revealed, often featuring cute objects, characters, or landscapes. With multiple levels and increasing difficulty, Painter Momopie promises hours of entertainment for those who love intellectual challenges.
