Introduce

Ou Dorobou Jing - Devil Version is an action role-playing game (Action RPG) for the Game Boy Color, based on the popular manga "Jing: King of Bandits". Players take on the role of Jing, a master thief known as the "King of Bandits", accompanied by his bird companion Kir.

The game's storyline revolves around Jing and Kir's adventures as they explore strange locations, confront various enemies, and ultimately steal items of immense value. The gameplay combines world exploration, light puzzle-solving, and real-time combat. Players will navigate through different screens, from towns and caves to mysterious castles, searching for clues and interacting with non-player characters (NPCs) to advance the story.

The combat system in Ou Dorobou Jing - Devil Version is real-time. Jing can use basic physical attacks, as well as special abilities called "Jing Arts" or "Kiryoku Arts" to deal greater damage or provide combat support. These abilities typically consume a certain amount of energy. Players need to manage Jing's health (HP) and energy (MP/Kiryoku) bars. After each battle or upon completing a quest, Jing will gain experience points, helping him level up and improve stats such as strength, defense, and maximum health.

Beyond combat, the game also requires players to solve simple puzzles, often involving finding items, activating switches, or discovering hidden paths. Item collection is also a crucial part, ranging from recovery items to equipment that enhances Jing's power. The "Devil Version" may have minor differences in content, items, or certain events compared to the "Angel Version", encouraging players to experience both to fully uncover the story and secrets of Jing's world.
