Introduce

NFL Blitz on Game Boy Color is an adaptation of the popular arcade American football game, offering a high-speed, action-packed experience. Clearly distinct from traditional football simulations, NFL Blitz focuses on exaggerated gameplay, fewer rule constraints, and hard-hitting collisions.

Players control NFL teams, engaging in 7-on-7 matches. The reduced player count enhances the chaos and speed of the game. The play-calling system is simplified, allowing players to quickly select offensive or defensive plays without needing too much complex detail.

A highlight of the gameplay is the freedom in action. There are no pass interference penalties, no roughing the passer, and even late hits are encouraged after a player is down, aiming to deplete the opponent's energy. This creates an an explosive and relentless gaming environment.

On offense, players can run, pass, perform jukes, and stiff-arms to break through the defense. Players can get "on fire" after excellent plays, boosting their speed and abilities. On defense, the goal is to dive into opponents with powerful tackles, perform aggressive "blitzes" on the opposing quarterback, or attempt interceptions.

Despite being a GBC version with simplified 2D graphics, NFL Blitz still retains its distinctive arcade spirit. Players are designed in a cartoonish style, and collisions generate dramatic visual and sound effects. A turbo button allows players to increase their player's movement speed, creating spectacular bursts of acceleration.

The objective remains to score by getting the ball into the end zone (touchdown) or kicking a field goal. NFL Blitz (GBC) is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a fun, less serious, and highly entertaining football game on a handheld platform.
