Mr Nutz (GB)

Mr Nutz (GB/GBC) is a classic 2D side-scrolling platformer where players control the titular adorable squirrel, Nutz. The primary objective is to guide Nutz through a variety of diverse levels, ranging from lush forests to icy caverns, in order to thwart the evil Yeti's plans. The core gameplay revolves around running, jumping, and climbing to navigate obstacles and platforms.

Throughout his adventure, Mr Nutz must contend with a multitude of enemies unique to each environment. Nutz has two primary methods of attack: a quick tail whip and the ability to throw nuts. Players need to collect nuts scattered throughout the levels to use as projectiles. Additionally, various power-ups can be collected, including more powerful nuts, temporary invincibility, and extra lives.

Level design in Mr Nutz is varied, featuring traps, moving platforms, hidden areas, and simple environmental puzzles. Each world culminates in a challenging boss battle, requiring players to learn their attack patterns. The Game Boy Color version notably features vibrant colorful graphics and smooth animations for its time, providing an engaging visual experience on the handheld console.
