Introduce

In Missile Command (GB) gbc, players are tasked with the crucial mission of defending six vulnerable cities from a relentless nuclear missile assault. Your objective is to control three anti-ballistic missile bases, each equipped with a limited supply of interceptor missiles. Enemy missiles will descend from the top of the screen, and you must swiftly aim and fire your anti-ballistic missiles to intercept them.

When an anti-ballistic missile is launched, it flies to your chosen point and explodes into a temporary fireball. Any enemy missiles caught within this explosion's radius will be destroyed. Your success hinges on your ability to anticipate the trajectory of incoming enemy missiles and strategically place your explosions to eliminate as many targets as possible. As you progress through levels, the enemy introduces more sophisticated missile types, including Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) missiles that split into multiple warheads, smart bombs that can evade your fire, or bombers and satellites that deploy additional missiles.

Your missile bases can be destroyed by enemy fire, but they will be replenished at the start of each new wave if all are destroyed. However, the cities are not so fortunate; once hit, they are permanently destroyed and cannot be recovered. The game concludes when all six of your cities have been reduced to rubble. Points are awarded based on the number of enemy missiles destroyed, the number of cities remaining, and any unused anti-ballistic missiles. Difficulty progressively increases with each wave, featuring faster missiles, greater numbers, and more complex attack patterns, demanding quick reflexes and strategic thinking.
