Introduce
In **Marble Madness** (GB/GBC), players take control of a marble, guiding it through a series of challenging 3D isometric mazes. The primary objective is to navigate the marble to the finish line of each level before the strict time limit expires. Each level, often referred to as a "race," features a unique layout filled with various obstacles and traps.
Players must skillfully maneuver the marble to avoid falling off the track, colliding with hazards such as pools of molten acid, magnetic pullers, or strange creatures that attempt to push the marble away. Precise control is paramount, especially when traversing sloped, slippery surfaces or when attempting to cross gaps.
Time is a critical element in **Marble Madness**. Every second counts, and players are encouraged to complete levels as quickly as possible to earn bonus points. Additionally, collecting specific power-ups or items within the levels can grant extra time or boost the score. The Game Boy and Game Boy Color versions retain the core gameplay mechanics, albeit with simplified graphics adapted for the handheld hardware, still delivering a challenging puzzle and action experience.
