Introduce

In the Game Boy version of Lock 'n' Chase, players take on the role of a clever thief whose mission is to collect all the money bags scattered throughout an intricate maze. The primary objective of each level is to collect all the cash before being caught by the pursuing police officers.

The unique and strategic aspect of Lock 'n' Chase lies in its environmental interaction. Players can control doors (or gates) within the maze, opening and closing them to create new pathways or, more importantly, to trap the police officers. By closing a door behind a police officer, players can temporarily incapacitate them, gaining valuable time to collect money or move to a safe area.

Police officers move according to a pursuit algorithm, and their number and speed increase across levels. Players need to be agile and think strategically to not only evade them but also to utilize the doors effectively to control the enemies' paths. Collecting money bags awards points, and trapping police officers also grants points, encouraging players to use the door mechanism efficiently. The game demands skillful control and quick planning abilities to overcome increasingly difficult challenges.
