Introduce
The Game Boy Color version of Klax is an addictive and challenging puzzle game. Your primary objective is to catch colored blocks falling from a conveyor belt at the top of the screen. You control a small paddle at the bottom, which you can move left and right to intercept these blocks.
Once a block is caught, it's placed on your paddle. The paddle can hold a certain number of blocks before you must push them into the vertical stacking lanes below. There are multiple columns available for you to stack the blocks.
The goal is to arrange blocks of the same color into a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line of at least three blocks to make them disappear and score points. For example, if you have three red blocks aligned horizontally, they will vanish.
The game is divided into multiple "waves," each with a specific objective, such as clearing a certain number of blocks, achieving a target score, or completing a specific number of "Klaxes" (chains of vanishing blocks). These objectives are clearly displayed before each wave.
The challenge increases as blocks fall faster, and sometimes special blocks like "Klax-blocks" appear, which can clear more tiles. You must be careful not to let the conveyor belt at the top of the screen overflow with uncaught blocks, or drop too many blocks off the screen. The game requires quick reflexes and strategic thinking to efficiently stack blocks and complete each wave's objective.
