Fortified Zone (GB)

In Fortified Zone, players choose to control one of two special agents: Masato (male) or Mizuki (female), each possessing unique abilities. Masato typically has stronger machine gun fire, while Mizuki can throw grenades further. The game is a top-down action shooter where you must navigate through complex areas of a heavily fortified enemy stronghold, eliminating enemies and completing various objectives.

The primary goal of the game is to infiltrate the enemy base, rescue a kidnapped scientist, and destroy a dangerous superweapon. Players control their character using the D-pad for movement and buttons for firing their weapon and throwing grenades. Grenades are powerful weapons that can deal area-of-effect damage, proving very useful against groups of enemies or obstacles.

Throughout the stages, you will encounter various types of enemies, ranging from simple infantry soldiers to tanks, turrets, and larger war machines. Players can collect power-ups to upgrade their weapon, increase movement speed, or restore health. Managing ammunition and grenades is crucial, as they are limited.

Each stage in Fortified Zone typically culminates in a challenging boss battle. These bosses require players to employ strategic thinking and good dodging skills to defeat them.
