Introduce
**Adventure Island II - Aliens in Paradise** is a side-scrolling platformer for the Game Boy. Players control Master Higgins, navigating challenging levels to rescue his girlfriend Tina, who has been kidnapped by aliens.
Each level requires players to collect fruit to maintain their energy bar; running out results in a lost life. Higgins' primary weapon is a stone axe, used to defeat enemies and break obstacles. A key feature of the game is the ability to ride various dinosaurs, each offering unique advantages.
Players can find hidden dinosaur eggs within levels. Upon cracking them open, one of four types of dinosaurs will appear: Triceratops (horn attack and lava resistance), Pterodactyl (flying over obstacles), Brontosaurus (shooting stars from a distance), and Elasmosaurus (fast swimming underwater). Players can carry up to two dinosaurs in their inventory and switch between them as needed.
A world map allows players to select islands to explore, each featuring multiple stages and a final boss battle. The gameplay combines fast-paced action, secret exploration, and light puzzle elements when finding paths or hidden eggs.
