Sangokushi Eiketsuden (Japan) (Rev 1)

Sangokushi Eiketsuden (Rev 1) is a turn-based strategy game on the SNES platform, set during the Three Kingdoms period in China. Players will choose a faction among famous warlords such as Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Cao Cao… and participate in the fierce power struggle.

Gameplay focuses on territory management, army training, technology research, and tactical map battles. Each battle takes place in turns, players will have to arrange formations, use different types of troops (infantry, cavalry, archers…), and utilize terrain to win. In addition, internal administration is also crucial, including resource collection, city construction, appointing officials, and maintaining stability in the territory.

The game features a complex diplomatic system, allowing players to form alliances, marry, or declare war on other factions. Player decisions will affect the war situation and the outcome of the story. Sangokushi Eiketsuden also has many random events, creating diversity and surprise in each playthrough. The game's 16-bit graphics, while not overly modern, still depict the grandeur of the Three Kingdoms period with fairly detailed character designs and vividly depicted battles.
