Introduce

Toobin' is a unique rafting game released for the NES. In this game, players control their character on a rubber tube, drifting down winding and challenging rivers. The main objective is to reach the finish line as quickly as possible while collecting items and avoiding obstacles.

Each level in Toobin' is a long stretch of river with numerous turns, rapids, and other hazards. Players must skillfully steer their tube left or right to avoid rocks, logs, and even river creatures like alligators. Colliding with obstacles will reduce your speed or cause you to lose some energy.

Along the way, there are various types of items to collect. Items like Beer Cans help increase your score, while special items such as "T" (Time), "O" (Obstacle), "O" (Oxygen), "B" (Bonus), "I" (Invincibility), "N" (Nitro) when collected in full will provide certain benefits. For example, collecting all the letters "TOOBIN" can grant a large bonus score or temporary power-ups.

The game features two main play modes: "Race" and "Score". In "Race" mode, the goal is to complete the course within a time limit. In "Score" mode, players try to achieve the highest possible score by collecting items.

Toobin' features simple yet colorful 2D graphics, with water effects and movement that were quite smooth for its time. The sound in the game is also quite lively, with the sounds of flowing water and cheerful background music.

The replayability of Toobin' is quite high due to the challenging nature of the levels and the variety of obstacles. Players need to practice to master the controls and find the most optimal paths to achieve the fastest times or highest scores.
