Introduce

Titan is a classic puzzle game for the NES, known for its addictive and challenging gameplay. In this game, players control pairs of multi-colored blocks that fall from the top of the screen into a playfield well. Your primary objective is to arrange these blocks so that at least three blocks of the same color are aligned horizontally or vertically. When this condition is met, the blocks will disappear, freeing up space within the well.

The control mechanism is straightforward: use the D-pad to move the falling block pair left or right, and press down to accelerate their descent. The A or B buttons allow you to rotate the block pair to precisely position them before they hit the bottom or other blocks. When blocks are cleared, any blocks above them will fall down to fill the void, potentially creating chain reactions (combos) if the newly fallen blocks form new groups of three or more.

The difficulty in Titan progressively increases with each level, as the falling speed of the blocks becomes faster, demanding quicker reflexes and strategic thinking from the player. The game also features a competitive two-player mode, where you and a friend compete on separate screens. When you clear a certain number of blocks, "garbage" blocks (typically gray, unbreakable blocks that cannot be cleared by color matching) are sent to your opponent's screen, making their game more challenging and adding a strategic layer to the gameplay.

With its simple yet effective 8-bit graphics and catchy chiptune music, Titan offers a pure puzzle experience, suitable for players looking to relax or seeking a high-level challenge.
