Introduce

In Tetris 2, the classic puzzle gameplay is enhanced with a fresh new mechanic. Unlike the original Tetris where players clear lines by forming complete horizontal rows, Tetris 2 focuses on color matching. The playfield starts with several pre-placed, fixed blocks of various colors. The player's task is to manipulate falling pieces, each typically consisting of 2 to 4 blocks of a single color. The objective is to arrange these falling blocks so that three or more blocks of the same color touch each other horizontally or vertically. When a group of three or more same-colored blocks is formed, they disappear from the screen. Crucially, if the initial fixed blocks are part of a color match chain, they too are eliminated.

Tetris 2 also features a unique "flicker" mechanic: when a group of colored blocks is cleared, any same-colored blocks connected to that group will also flicker and disappear if they form a sufficiently large connected chain. This adds a layer of strategy, encouraging players to create chain reactions. The game typically offers two main modes: "A-Type" (an endless play style, focused on achieving high scores by clearing as many blocks as possible) and "B-Type" (a level-based play style, requiring players to clear all the fixed blocks on the screen to advance to the next stage). As levels progress, the falling speed of the blocks increases, demanding quick reflexes and strategic thinking to manage space and colors effectively. Tetris 2 offers a refreshing puzzle experience, combining the familiarity of Tetris with a unique color-matching challenge.
