Introduce

Tetris (Tengen) is one of the well-known versions of the classic puzzle game, developed by Tengen for the NES console. The primary objective of the game is to rotate and move various shaped blocks, known as Tetrominos, as they fall from the top of the screen. Players must arrange them to form complete horizontal lines without any gaps. When a line is completed, it disappears, granting the player more space and points.

A distinctive feature of Tengen's Tetris, compared to Nintendo's version, is its inclusion of a 2-Player Competitive Mode, where two players can battle each other on a split screen. When one player clears multiple lines simultaneously, "garbage blocks" are sent to the opponent's screen, adding pressure and challenge. This version is also famous for its distinct music and different control mechanics, including the "hard drop" ability which Nintendo's version lacked at the time.

The game continues until the stacked blocks reach the top of the screen, resulting in a game over. The falling speed of the blocks gradually increases over time or as the player reaches certain score milestones, escalating the difficulty and demanding quicker reflexes. Tetris (Tengen) offers an addictive puzzle experience with high competitiveness, satisfying both single and two-player enthusiasts.
