In Silk Worm, players embark on a challenging war where the choice of vehicle dictates your combat style. You can control either a helicopter or an armored jeep.

With the helicopter, you will fly freely across the screen, unleashing continuous barrages of bullets and dodging attacks from both air and ground. The helicopter can move in all directions, offering an advantage in maneuverability and wide visibility.

Conversely, the jeep will roll on the ground, directly confronting enemy infantry units and ground vehicles. The jeep has the ability to jump over obstacles and evade projectiles, creating a more tactical gameplay style that requires precise timing and quick reactions.

Both vehicles can collect power-up items dropped by destroyed enemies. These power-ups include upgrades for fire rate, increased firepower, or special weapons like guided missiles or protective shields. Collecting and managing power-ups is key to surviving through increasingly difficult levels.

Silk Worm stands out with its unique two-player cooperative (co-op) mode. One player controls the helicopter, while the other controls the jeep.
