Introduce
Short Order + Eggsplode! is a unique game duo on the NES console, offering two distinct yet challenging puzzle and time-management experiences.
In Short Order, players take on the role of a skilled chef in a bustling restaurant. Your mission is to prepare and serve fast-food items according to customer requests as quickly and accurately as possible. The game screen displays your kitchen counter with ingredients such as buns, meat, cheese, lettuce, french fries, and drinks. Customers will appear one by one and place their orders. You must move your character to grab the correct ingredients, prepare them (e.g., fry potatoes), and assemble the complete dish. The challenge lies in performing all actions within a time limit, avoiding burning food or serving incorrect orders, otherwise, customers will leave, and you'll lose money. Each level requires players to reach a specific revenue target to advance, and the difficulty gradually increases with more customers and more complex demands.
Meanwhile, Eggsplode! is a fast-paced arcade-style puzzle game. The main objective is to clear colorful eggs that are filling up the screen. Eggs will continuously fall from the top, and your task is to arrange or destroy them before they reach the bottom or exceed a designated line. Players can control a cursor or character to interact with the eggs, usually by moving them to form groups of the same color or by using special items. The game often provides special egg types like bomb eggs (destroying a surrounding area) or rainbow eggs (which can connect with any color). The game demands quick reflexes and instant strategic thinking to prevent the screen from being overwhelmed by eggs.
