Introduce
In Sherlock Holmes - Hakushaku Reijou Yuukai Jiken, players assume the role of detective Sherlock Holmes, accompanied by his loyal assistant Dr. Watson, to investigate the mysterious kidnapping of the Earl's daughter. The gameplay primarily follows a "command-selection" adventure style, typical of NES era adventure games.
You will navigate through various locations in London, ranging from your Baker Street flat to crime scenes and other significant areas. At each location, players can utilize commands such as LOOK to observe the surroundings, TALK to converse with non-player characters (NPCs), and ITEM to use or examine collected objects. The objective is to gather clues, interrogate witnesses and suspects, and then piece together the information to uncover the truth behind the case.
Game progression relies on the player finding the correct clues and performing the right actions in a logical sequence.
