Introduce

Shanghai (Japan) (Sample) is a classic Mahjong Solitaire puzzle game for the NES console. The primary objective of the game is to clear all tiles from the screen by matching pairs of identical tiles. Players are presented with a layout of Mahjong tiles stacked in various configurations, often in multiple layers.

To remove a pair of tiles, they must meet two crucial conditions: they must be identical (same symbol, same suit) and they must be "free". A tile is considered free if it is not covered by any other tile from above and has at least one long side (either left or right) unobstructed by another tile. This means you cannot select tiles that are deeply embedded within the layout until the surrounding tiles are cleared.

The game features various tile layouts, increasing in complexity and challenge over time. Players need to strategize carefully, as removing the wrong tiles can lead to a situation where the board becomes unsolvable. Some versions of Shanghai (Japan) (Sample) may include a time limit, adding an element of pressure and speed to the gameplay. The game often includes a scoring system as well, encouraging players to complete boards as quickly as possible or with the fewest incorrect moves.

Despite its seemingly simple premise, Shanghai (Japan) (Sample) requires keen observation, planning ability, and sometimes a bit of luck. It's an ideal game for relaxation and mental exercise.
