Introduce

In Rampage (USA) NES, players transform into one of three giant monsters: George (a gorilla), Lizzie (a lizard), or Ralph (a werewolf). Your primary objective is to cause maximum destruction to cities across the United States. Each level takes place in a different city, where you need to demolish all buildings to complete the stage.

The gameplay of Rampage focuses on destructive action. Players can climb buildings, punch through windows and walls to reveal citizens, objects, or even food to restore health. Destruction not only earns points but is also how you progress in the game. However, destruction also attracts the attention of the military. Armed forces such as tanks, helicopters, soldiers, and even warships will continuously attack you with bullets and missiles. Players must dodge these attacks and can retaliate to defend themselves.

The monster's health is displayed by an energy bar. When energy runs low, the monster transforms back into a human, and the game ends. To maintain health, players need to eat items that appear in destroyed buildings or fleeing citizens. There are various types of food, from hamburgers to fruits, each providing a certain amount of health. Occasionally, you might also find special items like bonus money or temporary weapons.

A unique feature of Rampage is the ability to play with two players simultaneously. Two players can cooperate to destroy the city faster or compete to see who causes more damage. This adds fun and tactical depth to the game. Although a simple action game, the satisfaction of destroying everything and fending off relentless military attacks has made Rampage a classic title on the NES console.
