Introduce
In Pyramid for the NES, players engage in a classic falling block puzzle game. The primary objective is to arrange various geometric blocks descending from the top of the screen to form complete horizontal lines.
Whenever a horizontal line is completely filled without any gaps, that line disappears, earning the player points and creating more space for new blocks. Players can move the blocks left or right, as well as rotate them to fit into the available spaces below. The speed at which the blocks fall gradually increases over time, making the game more challenging.
Scores are calculated based on the number of lines cleared simultaneously. The more lines cleared in one go, the higher the score received. The game ends when the blocks pile up to the top of the screen, leaving no room for new blocks to descend. Pyramid demands quick reflexes, spatial reasoning, and strategic planning to achieve the highest possible score.
