In Phantom Fighter, players assume the role of a courageous Taoist priest, whose mission is to eradicate the army of Jiangshi (hopping vampires) plaguing the land. Heavily inspired by the classic Hong Kong horror-comedy film "Mr. Vampire," the game offers a unique blend of action, adventure, and light RPG elements.

The core gameplay of Phantom Fighter revolves around exploring various villages and the surrounding countryside. Each area holds secrets, valuable items, and, of course, countless Jiangshi waiting to be dispatched. Players will utilize basic physical attacks such as punches and kicks to deal with enemies. However, your most effective weapons are the various types of talismans.

There are different talismans with diverse uses: sealing talismans to immobilize Jiangshi, fire talismans for damage, or healing talismans to restore health. Managing and wisely using these talismans is key to overcoming challenges. A notable feature is the simple "level up" system, allowing you to enhance stats like strength, defense, and magic by gaining experience points from defeated Jiangshi. This makes your character more powerful as you encounter tougher foes.

The game also features a day/night cycle, which influences enemy encounters. As night falls, the number of Jiangshi significantly increases, adding pressure and challenge. The ultimate goal is to locate and defeat powerful Jiangshi bosses to rid the world of their curse. Phantom Fighter demands strategic thinking, resource management, and quick reflexes from the player to survive and fulfill their noble quest.
