Penguin-kun Wars is a unique arcade action game for the NES, where players control a penguin participating in fun ball-throwing battles. The primary objective of the game is to push all 10 balls to the opponent's side of the court.

Each match takes place on a divided playing field, with the player on one side and the opponent (controlled by the computer or another player) on the other. Players can move their penguin left and right to pick up balls or dodge balls thrown by the opponent. Once a ball is picked up, players can throw them towards the opponent. If a ball hits the opponent, they will be stunned for a moment, providing an opportunity for the player to throw more balls or collect additional ones.

Various types of balls appear, some causing more damage or having special trajectories. Occasionally, special items will also appear on the field, granting temporary advantages such as increased throwing speed, longer opponent stun duration, or even transforming balls into larger, harder-to-avoid objects.

The game features a single-player mode (against the CPU) with various opponents, each having their own play style and speed. Additionally, a two-player mode allows friends or family members to compete directly against each other, creating highly competitive and entertaining matches. The simple yet colorful 2D graphics, along with cheerful sounds, contribute to a charming classic gaming experience.

Victory is determined when one side successfully pushes 10 balls to the opponent's side of the court. The game requires agility, good reflexes, and a bit of strategy to anticipate ball trajectories and opponent positions.
