Introduce

In Paperboy for NES, players take on the role of an enthusiastic paperboy whose daily mission is to deliver newspapers to subscribing households.

Presented from a unique isometric perspective, players control the paperboy's bicycle as he rides along the street. The primary objective is to deliver newspapers directly into mailboxes or throw them onto the doorsteps of customers (identifiable by their brightly colored houses).

The street is far from peaceful, filled with numerous obstacles and potential hazards. Players will encounter aggressive dogs, playing children, cars, motorcycles, puddles, drunken men, and even small tornadoes. You can either dodge these hazards or, in some cases, throw newspapers to destroy certain obstacles like non-customer house windows or flower pots.

Each day (which represents a level) has a specific number of customers to serve. If you miss a delivery or accidentally damage a customer's property, they might unsubscribe from the service. Players also need to collect extra newspaper bundles scattered along the route to replenish their "ammunition."

At the end of each week (after 7 delivery days), players are challenged in a special training course, where you throw newspapers at targets for bonus points. The final score is calculated based on successful deliveries, destroyed obstacles, and bonus points from the training course.

The gameplay of Paperboy demands agility, quick reflexes, and keen observation skills to navigate the increasingly difficult challenges.
