Introduce

In Pac-Mania, players control the familiar Pac-Man character in a novel 3D isometric environment. The primary objective remains to eat all the dots ("Pac-Dots") scattered throughout the maze to complete the stage. However, the biggest and most distinctive feature of Pac-Mania compared to previous Pac-Man iterations is the "jump" ability.

When pursued by ghosts, players can press a button to make Pac-Man jump, soaring over the heads of the ghosts below. This feature introduces a new layer of strategy, allowing players to escape seemingly impossible situations. However, it's important to note that not all ghosts can be jumped over; some ghosts like Funky and Spunky can jump along with Pac-Man, requiring players to time their jumps more precisely.

In addition to the classic ghosts like Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde, Pac-Mania introduces two new ghost types: Sue (purple) and a pair of green ghosts named Funky and Spunky. Each ghost type has unique behaviors, adding to the game's challenge.

Similar to other Pac-Man games, players can eat large power pellets ("Power Pellets") to temporarily turn ghosts blue, allowing Pac-Man to eat them for points. Eating consecutive ghosts after consuming a Power Pellet yields higher scores. Furthermore, various fruits and other special items will appear in the maze for players to collect and earn bonus points.

The mazes in Pac-Mania are also more diverse, featuring various designs and themes, from ancient Egyptian areas to outer space, offering a fresh visual experience. The music and sound effects have also been revamped to suit the 3D style. The ultimate goal is to complete all stages, achieve the highest possible score, and become a master of Pac-Mania.
