Introduce

Othello (USA) NES is the digital adaptation of the classic strategic board game, Reversi. The game is played on an 8x8 grid. Two players, one controlling black discs and the other controlling white discs, take turns placing their pieces on the board.

The primary objective is to capture as many of your opponent's discs as possible by 'sandwiching' them between two of your own discs. When a line (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) of your opponent's discs is trapped between two of your discs (the disc you just placed and another one already on the board), all the trapped discs are flipped to your color.

A player must place a disc in an empty square such that it can flip at least one of the opponent's discs. If there are no valid moves available, the player forfeits their turn. The game concludes when all 64 squares on the board are filled, or when neither player can make a valid move.

The winner is the player with the most discs of their color on the board when the game ends. The NES version of Othello offers a single-player experience against the AI or local multiplayer, with a simple and intuitive interface, focusing entirely on the deep strategic elements of the original game.
