Introduce
Ninjara Hoi! is a unique action-adventure platformer game released on the NES (Famicom) system in Japan. Players take on the role of a small but highly skilled ninja, tasked with rescuing a princess who has been kidnapped by evil forces. The highlight of Ninjara Hoi!'s gameplay is the protagonist's special attack ability: he can extend his arm or tongue (depending on interpretation) to strike enemies from a distance or latch onto certain surfaces to overcome obstacles.
Levels are designed in a side-scrolling fashion, featuring multiple layers and hidden pathways. Players must navigate skillfully, jump across chasms, avoid traps, and confront a variety of different enemies, from small monsters to challenging boss characters. Throughout the adventure, players can collect support items such as power-ups, health restoration, or temporary special abilities. Effectively utilizing the stretchy arm/tongue ability and collected items is key to overcoming increasingly difficult challenges.
