In The Mutant Virus, The - Crisis in a Computer World, players are thrust into a digital realm threatened by a dangerous strain of mutant viruses. Your mission is to become a heroic programmer, utilizing special "anti-virus" blocks to purge this digital plague.

The gameplay revolves around matching falling blocks, similar to classic puzzle games. On the screen, you'll find various colored virus blocks already present. From the top, "anti-virus" blocks will fall, each typically consisting of two segments and capable of being rotated. The objective is to strategically align these blocks so that three or more segments of the same color (or virus type) are aligned horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.

When a group of three or more segments of the same color is successfully matched, they are eliminated from the screen. Crucially, the static virus blocks will also disappear if they are adjacent to the successfully matched blocks and share the same color. Players must strategically arrange the falling blocks to clear all viruses from the screen before the blocks pile up to the top, leading to a "game over."

Each level progressively increases in difficulty, with faster falling speeds for the blocks and a greater initial number of viruses, demanding sharp reflexes and strategic thinking.
