Introduce

In Millionaire (Asia) (Ja) (PAL) (Unl) for the NES, players get to experience the tense and exciting atmosphere of the "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" TV show. The primary goal of the game is to correctly answer multiple-choice questions to accumulate prize money, with the ultimate objective of becoming a virtual millionaire.

The gameplay of Millionaire (Asia) (Ja) (PAL) (Unl) closely follows the original format: players will face a series of questions that progressively increase in difficulty. Each question comes with four answer choices (A, B, C, D), and the player must select the most accurate response. If answered correctly, the prize money increases, and the player proceeds to the next question. If answered incorrectly, the game ends, and the player leaves with the amount secured at the nearest safe haven milestone (if any).

To assist players in overcoming challenging questions, the game provides the familiar "lifelines." These lifelines typically include: 50:50 (which eliminates two incorrect answers), Phone a Friend (simulating a friend giving a hint), and Ask the Audience (displaying percentage choices from a virtual audience). Strategically using these lifelines is key to progressing far in the game.

As this is a Japanese version and an unlicensed game for the NES, players will need a basic understanding of Japanese to comprehend the questions and answers. The game's graphics and sound are designed to be simple, fitting the capabilities of the NES system, focusing primarily on the quiz experience. While the question pool might not be as extensive as official releases, it still offers hours of entertainment and knowledge challenges for fans of the show.
