Introduce

Mario is Missing! (USA) NES is a unique educational adventure game where players control Luigi on a quest to rescue his brother Mario from the clutches of Bowser. Unlike traditional Mario games, the primary focus of Mario is Missing! is on exploring real-world landmarks and cities.

The storyline begins with Bowser freezing Antarctica and using a "Koopas Troopa" machine to teleport Mario and famous landmarks from around the world to his castle. Luigi must travel to various real-world cities such as Paris, New York, Tokyo, and Rome. In each city, Luigi's objective is to retrieve three artifacts that have been stolen by Koopalings from the city's famous landmarks.

To clear a city, Luigi must correctly identify which artifact belongs to which landmark. He can do this by collecting stolen artifacts from Koopalings and then speaking with local residents like Toads or Yoshis to gather clues about the landmarks. Luigi can also use his "Globulator," a device that contains information about cities and landmarks, to aid in identification.

Once Luigi believes he has correctly matched an artifact to its landmark, he must go to an information booth to confirm. If the answer is correct, the artifact is returned, and a portion of the city is "restored." If incorrect, Luigi must try again. After all three artifacts in a city have been returned to their rightful places, Luigi can proceed to the next city.

The game concludes when Luigi has successfully restored all artifacts from the cities and finally confronts Bowser to rescue Mario. Mario is Missing! blends adventure elements with geographical education, encouraging players to learn about global cultures and landmarks.
