Introduce
Mappy is a classic arcade game where players control Mappy, a police mouse. Your primary goal is to retrieve all the stolen items (such as TVs, radios, statues, etc.) from the mansion inhabited by the feline gang, the Meowkies and their boss, Goro.
Mappy navigates through the mansion's multi-level floors. To ascend or descend between floors, Mappy uses trampolines. These trampolines can break if Mappy bounces on them too many times consecutively, but they will repair themselves after a short period.
The main adversaries are the pink Meowkies and the larger, slower cat, Goro. Meowkies chase Mappy directly on the floors, while Goro moves more slowly but can pass through trampolines.
Mappy has no direct attack capabilities. Instead, you must use the environment to evade or stun enemies. Players can open and close doors to block enemies' paths or stun them. If a cat is hit by an opening door, it will be stunned for a few seconds, allowing Mappy to pass safely. Some doors, when opened, emit a wave of sound that stuns all cats in a straight line, regardless of their position on the screen. These are powerful tools for clearing a path or earning bonus points. Mappy can also escape pursuit by bouncing over enemies when they are on a trampoline, but this requires precise timing.
Points are awarded for collecting items and stunning cats. Collecting matching pairs of items yields larger bonus points. A stage is completed by gathering all the items. Mappy demands agility, strategic thinking, and precise timing to navigate its increasingly challenging levels.
