Karnov

Karnov NES is a side-scrolling action platformer developed by Data East. In the game, players control Jinborov "Karnov" Karnovski, a strongman and former circus performer who possesses the ability to breathe fire. Karnov's quest is to traverse nine challenging stages filled with monsters and obstacles in search of map pieces that lead to a mysterious treasure.

The gameplay of Karnov NES revolves around moving through horizontally scrolling screens, jumping over obstacles, and defeating enemies. Karnov's primary weapon is his fireball, which he can shoot from his mouth. Players can collect various power-up items throughout their journey. These items include a mask that enhances the fireball's power, shoes that allow Karnov to jump higher, a ladder to reach elevated areas, bombs to clear all enemies on screen, and the letter K which grants an extra life.

Each stage in Karnov NES features unique designs with different types of enemies, ranging from flying creatures to ground-based monsters. At the end of most stages, there is a boss battle that requires players to figure out the appropriate strategy to defeat.
